We’re an independent, family-owned shop on Veterans Drive in Kyle, and we’ve been fixing cars for this community since 2008.
What that means in practice: the people who look at your car are the people who own the place. There’s no regional manager setting quotas, no call center between you and the technician, and nobody working on commission to sell you something you didn’t come in for.

Chapa Auto Craft has been voted Best Paint & Body Shop in North Hays County in 2023, 2024, and 2025 — three consecutive years, by community vote.
We didn’t buy that. It came from the people who live here and have had work done. For a shop that has never advertised heavily, it’s the recognition that means the most, and it’s the reason we’re careful about every car that comes through the door. In a town this size, your reputation is just what your customers say about you when you’re not in the room.
Collision and mechanical, under one roof
Most shops pick a lane. Body shops send you elsewhere for a check engine light; quick-lube places can’t touch a bent frame.
We do both. Collision repair, paint, paintless dent and hail work on one side; engine, transmission, brakes, A/C, alignment, diagnostics and maintenance on the other. Our technicians are ASE certified, and we work on both domestic and foreign vehicles — cars, SUVs, trucks and fleet vehicles.
It means one shop knows your car’s history, and a repair that turns out to be two problems doesn’t become two appointments at two businesses.
Meet the owners
Our family has worked in general automotive repair and collision work for over two decades — longer than Chapa Auto Craft has existed. The shop grew out of that trade, not out of a business plan.
That history shows up in small ways. We’d rather tell you a repair isn’t worth doing than take the work. We’d rather explain what we found than hand you a printout. And when something we fixed doesn’t hold, we want to hear about it, because a car we repaired still carries our name down the road.
We treat our customers the way we’d want to be treated. We’re not the cheapest shop in Kyle and we’ve never tried to be — what we aim for is that you don’t have to bring it back.

Working with your insurance
After a collision, we deal directly with all major insurance carriers on your behalf — the estimate, the supplements, the parts, the back-and-forth. You shouldn’t have to project-manage your own repair.
One thing worth knowing: under Texas law, the choice of shop is yours. Your insurance company can recommend a shop, but it cannot require one, and it’s required to cover the repair at the shop you choose. If you’ve been told otherwise, that’s not how it works.
Our warranty
We carry a lifetime warranty on all collision repairs. If something we repaired fails, bring it back.
